Comics Archer and Armstrong is the funniest comic book I have read in years...

Quote:
It's a globetrotting quest for the Valiant Universe's greatest secrets, from the New York Times bestselling team of Fred Van Lente (Amazing Spider-Man, Marvel Zombies) and Clayton Henry (Uncanny X-Men)! Obadiah Archer was born and raised to cherish three things above all else: the faith of his parents, the love of his 22 brothers and sisters, and his lifelong mission to defeat the ultimate evildoer. Now, after years of training, Archer has been dispatched to the heart of America's festering modern day Babylon, aka New York City, to root out and kill this infamous Great Satan. Unfortunately, dying has never been easy for Archer's target -- the hard-drinking, 10,000-year-old immortal known as Armstrong. Together, this unlikely pair of heroes is about to stumble headfirst into a centuries-old conspiracy that will bring the whole of ancient history crashing down on the modern day Valiant Universe. And that's going to mean one Hell of a hangover.
You folks gotta read this. Dear God.

Obadiah "Obie" Archer is one of a multitude of children raised by the Reverend and Congresswoman Archer on the grounds of The Promised Land Supervised Fun Center and Learning Park (basically a parody of the Creationist museum).

It is the day of the Final Test, as Archer uses various martial arts skills he has learned throughout the years to defeat his "brothers" and "sisters" in a final battle to determine who will leave the park and hunt down the Antichrist for the good of mankind, at the behest of a religious organization known as the Dominion.

They give him a magical artifact that will lead him to where the Son of Perdition dwells--New York City.

Archer tracks the Evil One down to a bar and engages in a brawl with a motorcycle gang coincidentally named the Sons of Perdition, with the help of bouncer Armstrong.

But he quickly realizes the half-drunk bouncer who is his ally--is really his target!

The two begin to fight, but are knocked out by gas canisters thrown into the bar by Dominion soldiers.

Soon, the two wake-up, imprisoned inside Federal Hall. Armstrong is shackled, and tells Archer something something 10,000 years ago, he's immortal, the reason the Boon was split into artifacts was because it destroyed the world, Freemasons, the Dominion is bad, yadda yadda yadda, but Archer does not believe the Father of Lies! Archer uses the artifact to pick the lock on the door, go out into the rotunda, and discover the truth about the Dominion and its real religious leanings:

Anyone who does not still consider this to be THE BEST THING EVER, well...you just don't have a soul.
