STEAM REALLY THINKS YOU SHOULD TELL YOUR FRIENDS ABOUT THIS GAME VALVE MADE CALLED DOTA2. STEAM ISN'T SURE YOU UNDERSTAND HOW IMPORTANT THIS IS, SO STEAM THINKS YOU SHOULD HAVE ANOTHER COPY JUST IN CASE.

*unless of course rpg is right and everyone I gifted the game to gets another copy to gift, in which case there will probably be dozens of these things soon.

Okaaay. So. Steam is acting weird and I'm trying to figure out if it's an actual error or if it's something Steam is supposed to be doing. Help me out here, if you can, guys.

So I had DOTA 2 about 80% finished downloading two nights ago, and logged off. Now, every time I log back on, the download process starts again from 0% as though it's never heard of this "Doh-Tah-Too" of which you speak. I checked to see if maybe it's just picking up from where it left off, but no, the total size of the download is always the same: 2,733 MB.

My sister says she's been having the same problem while downloading Portal 2 onto her new computer, so it MIGHT be an issue with our wireless router. She says she has problems after 8pm downloading anything, but really, she and I are the only two computers using the router and there's nobody really around to be stealing our internets.

We also have the same anti-virus software, but it's never been an issue with Steam before.

Anyone have any ideas?

Stop the download then verify the files. After that is done. it should know which files are missing or not and install them correctly.

So I started getting back into Champions Online recently and have worked my main character up to level 40. That means I can take on my final Nemesis mission, but the game says I'd need a party of 5 in order to beat it. So if anyone who still plays CO wants to be my sidekick for a bit and fight evil on the moon, I might be attempting that mission this weekend.

Welp. Apparently I won't be fighting my nemesis on the moon any time soon, since I seem to be the victim of some kind of glitch where as soon as I log in, I am spawned into Millennium City's floorbox about twenty feet underground, where it's constantly snowing, at which point the game crashes.

You win this round, Cryptic.

Even after I learned, grew up, and came to be on the right side of a lot of important issues, I was still angry, abrasive, and generally increased the amount of hate in the world, in pretty unacceptable ways.
