Seems like he's being experimented on so he can fulfill his original purpose as a weapon. I am always filled with a mix of happiness and sadness when I see Kon. He is a great character that gets wasted as throw away comic relief.

Here we have a character that views all life as being precious among a destroyed city with so many dead, yet his appearance adds absolutely nothing to the story at all. This is a guy that nearly got himself killed to save ants, what the hell Kubo?

The thing about Kon is that he was always intended to be comic relief, it's just that his character has so much untapped potential to be more then just "the funny guy".

Seeing as the manga, is ending in a year-and a half. I doubt he'll get to do much.

Well at least we get to see the Soul Palace. Hopefully they don't try to make Ichigo a member of the zero division.

You know all this zero division stuff puts that giant cannon they used to break through that barrier in a whole new light. It doesn't make sense for the zero division to be so unworried about something that can breach the supposedly unbreachable protection of the soul king.

i still think Ichigo's dad was a former member of the Zero Division, that circles around nicely this "mixing pot" of untapped potential that Bleach turned out to be. a LOT of cool potential unturned, sadly...

I do like the fact that the Zero Division folks don't loo anything like what i would imagine.

Calling it right now, the soul king is either a child or a baby who can talk in an articulate manner while a pacifier is wedged in its mouth.

Ooh ooh or the soul king is on his deathbed, turns out to be ichigo's great great great great great granpappy, and is gonna hand the reigns to ichigo since he is gonna die and Ichigo will be the new soul king. Somethin lame like that is gonna happen.
