They are doing the Limiter thing again.

They removed the Captain's Bankai and now they are showing just how powerful they got without relying on their Bankai. But eventually they will get it back and it will be just like at the beginning of the Arrancar saga when they "lifted their limiters" and showed that they could be exponentially more powerful that way...

To be fair, Hitsugaya's Bankai was always "like the shikai, but a bit more and also timed".

...Although I have a friend who thinks Unohana died and Zaraki is now running around full power.

We aren't going to see his bankai till probably another 6 or more chapters. We already know that he probably gained it off panel at this point.

Well that is a completely obvious Worf setup. Maybe its a good thing Kenpachi isn't around. He might actually avoid getting Worfed in this round. Either that or Kubo is setting up some crazy double layered Worf effect where the newly trained captains get Worfed, then Kenpachi shows up and gets Worfed, before Ichigo finally shows up to prove how badass he is.
