Decide which RP to start

I want to start an RP, but I can't decide on which idea to use.

One is in a fantasy world. The king has declared that all fantasy, magical, and fairy tale ceatures must be banned from the country, or killed. You are his soldiers. Certain creatures have rewards (10 pieces of gold for a demonic puppet, 20 pieces of silver for a witch, etc, etc). That is just for the peasants and villagers though, so it doesn't really concern you. You, as the soldiers, would be sent around to go round up as many creatures as you can. The problem is that you are normal humans (No magic or anything, since it is banned. Even human mages are illegal), so most creatures can kick your ass. You have to use stories you know from stories, tall tales, fairy tales, songs, etc, etc to find the creatures' weaknesses and capture them. Thing is, lots of references, but only one truth, and I don't tell you the truth, you have to figure it out (So lets say you're fighting a vampire. One of you goes for a cross, but it does nothing to the vampire so he throws you out a window in the day then jumps through the window and begins to kill you)

The other is a basic RP, but set in a desert. I would want it to be semi-modern (Gun slingers), but I have yet to think up a logical thing (Beyond rubber bullets) so you can't just do "I shoot you and you die". Basic story will be about trying to find a paradise/oasis kinda thing.

The second other one is a basic RP, but set in a polar region. No RPs are ever in a polar region. Probably fantasy or fantasy-modern. Basic story, undecided.

Fourth is my attempt of a stealth RP, but in a fantasy world so it's not "If you make one mistake, you die", but more of a "Make a couple of mistakes, and you die". If you've seen the trailer for Thief: Deadly Shadow, it would be something like that.

Hmm...Shrek, Dark Tower/reverse Water World, Stupid, or group Thief...

I vote the desert one, except make us the last gunslingers but give everyone else magic and weapons and we're either loved/hated.

If you want guns, give me a way that "I shoot person A, person A dies, problem solved" does not happen.

All the characters could be missing one eye so they have really shitty depth perception?

The Shrek ones sounds interesting with the whole "You don't know how to beat them" addition. I would sign-up for the "Guessing Guy" position that sits back and lets the others fight while he tries to think of weaknesses...

Second one sounds a bit generic...

Third one sounds even more generic... (I just had an idea for a polar RP. "The Thing", anyone? Might be interesting...)

Fourth, I don't see these "All stealth" ones as working very well, so I would vote pass...

So, you all have guns, but you can't shoot them straigth? He'd die pretty fast...

Of course it sounds generic, I haven't thought up anything special about it yet. I just want to see and RP in a polar region (Because RPs never take place in any where even slightly cold). And as for a "The Thing" RP... Meh... It wouldn't really work (I just don't think it would).

In other stealth ones, one mistake and you die. This way, there are no electronic alarms, no guns, no radio, and less lighting. Meaning, you can afford to make mistakes.

Why not have a commando mission for the Polar thing where you have to track down a crashed plane? It segues well into the Thing from there and can incorporate horror elements too.

People have to die though (Over half). You can't have horror and no one dying. NPCs won't work because then it's to many guys for it to really be that horrifying.

So what? I'm okay if I get waxed. Many people died in Call of Cthulhu (But they all got to come back...) It could be interesting if it was all worked out and done right.

EDIT: And last time I saw a gun? Well, I'll be seeing a lot of them in the Van Helsing RP, which I'm starting up tomarrow...

The main problem will be who is the Thing. The RP would have to be private or something so the Thing would not be revealed, and so the Thing can't abuse that he knows where everyone else is.
