Funny how that stuff works out, innit?
It is. But all languages have refferances to latin for example.

On a sidenote, man, we really need to get that language forum going. I can see it taking right off from the start...
We do need to get it going.

So... can anyone *read* Japanese? If so, please drop me a line; I'm curious about the storylines of the Parodius games. Don't worry, they're shooters and don't have too much text. I can provide screenshots; they would roughly look like this:

Well, I'd love to, but it says your inbox is full, and I don't want to clog up this thread... the message is rather long, what with all the links.

Good friggin' thing I'd saved it in notepad then! Woo-hoo

Er, anyway... ready when you are.

Default Help!

If there are any Italian-knowing people out there, I am planning on working on a song this semester, but I can't find an English translation for it. Are there any Italian-knowing types that could help me out? I managed to get the second verse with the use of my handy-dandy Italian dictionary, but I can't find all of the words in the first half. Keeping in mind that my translation is somewhat loose.

Italian:
Dimmi, ben mio
By: Ludwig van Beethoven
Language: ITALIAN

Dimmi, ben mio, che m'ami,
Dimmi che mia tu sei.
E non invidio ai Dei
La lor' divinita!

Con un tuo sguardo solo,
(With just one of your glances,)
Cara, con un sorriso
(Dear, with one smile)
Tu m'apri il paradiso
(You opened the paradise)
Di mia felicita!
(of my happiness.)

I'm currently taking Japanese and have been studying for four years. Problem is with kanji. Right now I'm studying the first 440. Hopefully I get the meaning to them all by the end of November.

Sure. Have a link for me, or the artist's name?

I can tell you right away "Mitternacht" is "midnight" though.
