Viva la CS!!!!! Seriously though, CS is probably the only first person shooter that I enjoy on the same level. Quake 2 LMCTF was close, back in the day. Unreal2k4 doesn't do it for me at all. Maybe this Doom 3 will change things.

Doom 3 is an awesome SP experience. Donno what multiplayer's like yet, but I will later.

I'm an avid Doomer though, I'm definitely going to check out Doom 3. Looks like something I will be able to get into.

I really really REALLY love the Unreal2k4 demo I have. Onslaught is a blast. But I dunno when I'll finally get around to buying the real thing. Never liked Quake 3 much either though.

Will you guys, as a favor, play quake3 for me again soon? Maybe you're thinking of a different game, but maybe if you re-experience it you'll realize it's awesome Bittorrent: Quake 3 Quake 3: Team Arena

I like the realism of CS. It's a bit more strategic than most FPSers, you can't get shot 5 times with a rocket propelled missile, and just walk it off. The objectives also require some strategy and teamwork which is fun.

Only if you're lucky and the others on the server aren't all ten-year olds.
UT made me slightly annoyed with the 2k3 release, basically a hold-over until 2k4. Whee. Thanks a bunch, guys. That, and it's choppy. I guess 3.5 years finally caught up to my computer. Quake 3 is just fun if you play with friends and the like. Other than that, it's like every other multiplayer FPS before it, just with prettier graphics.

*has copies of both Quake 3 and Quake 3 Team Arena sitting on his shelf* I just never liked them much. Honestly. I much prefer the Unreal Tourney games for that style of play. They were fun, I just didn't much get into 'em.
Seriously though, when I do buy UT2k4 (which I now know I will eventually) it will BE for Onslaught. I mean other stuff's fun, but Onslaught is just f'ing AWESOME.

Man, Quake (3) gives me the ultimate adrenaline rush. It represents the epitome of tournament gaming to me, yanno? I'ma click those bittorrent links about now...
Onslaught and Assault are great. But it's still got classic deathmatch. I guess that's my point. Quake 3 isn't like all other generic shooters out there, all other generic shooters out there are like IT. You see what I'm saying? Of all the 'generic' ones, might as well choose the most popular and most legendary, neh?

Out of a huge group of generic shooters, I'd certainly choose Quake 3. But against anything else (say Half-Life's multiplayer mods and UT2k4), it's doubtful that I would.
