OOC: it depends either way. As an undead, she is aligned to evil, even though she doesn't want to (as my friend carefully explained a bit of D&D to me) but yeah, if you wanna, you can exorcise or ressurrect her.

Charcion's backhand took her completely unawares. She heard her jaw break, then reknit together just as quickly. Damnit, I want to die! her soul screamed. She rolled to her feet and in that same movement, lunged at Charcion again. Her deadly blade gouged forwards in a twistig motion, but Charcion parried it to one side, aiming another blow at her head. She rolled her neck wildly, and the man's fist merely grazed her ear. But it threw her off balance, and Charcion's injured leg came up in a bone-crunching knee that shattered her leg. Unable to recover fast enough, Wind felt, dimly, Charcion's fist punch into her lower spine. She heard the distinct snap. Damnit, she twisted around even as she fell, blocking a fatal blow from Charcion's blade. Baring her teeth, she lashed out with her left hand and her fingers dug into Charcion's wound. Dimly, she heard him cry out. But the Gheas would not release her. Not until she has killed him. And even then, she would be compelled to return and defend Nezurahl.

Nezurahl's smile widens. The fool had finally commited his reserves and still hadn't even touched the core of the mages. While he feels annoyance at the large scale elimination of his observers at least some of them had had the sense to cast a spell of invisibility and fly higher. He partions his awareness, one part focusing on controlling the nexus while the other assembles a whisper spell. After giving his orders to one of the frontline commanders he returns his full attention to the spellcrafting.

The knights charge forwards and, aiming for a weakpoint in the enemy's lines, they crash into the castle's lines. The dark warriors fall back into retreat, seemingly unable to stand up to the knghts' prowess. But as the knights give chase, human-like fiends riding sleek lizard-like beasts move to cut at their flanks. Unarmoured, moving like the wind itself and armed with long twisted spears and short bladed scimtars they slice at the knights, impaling armoured warriors on their wicked lances. The knights struggle to even land a blow on the lithe fiends that dance around them, the demons' pale skins becoming bespattered with their foes' blood.

As the pegasi mounted elves and the Dragon Knights swoop around the castle Nezurahl and the nexus mages unleash the spell they had been preparing. Completing the spell with a single simultaneous cry, the nexus hurls a fountain of battle magic skywards that splits and splits into innumerable smaller bolts, looking like a great tree of jagged lightning. Screaming through the air the bolts seem to seek out the elves and the knights, their mounts finding it nigh impossible to dodge the dark magic. Those struck have dark energy crackle over them, those not killed outright feeling nothing but despair for the magic paralyses as well as kills. With the wingbeats needed to keep them aloft stilled, they have nowhere to go but down.

Nezurahl coughs blood. The spell had taken more out of him than he realised. He would have to be more cautious with his magic as he was still badly injured. Drawing more power from the other mages, he continues to keep the complex mana-flows in the pattern needed. If they shifted too much it would spell disaster.

OOC: Yes, I do realise I've just commited a moderate atrocity. Mages are nasty things and a hundred working together is even worse. By the way Kildare, you seem to think that the mages are inside the castle. They're actually on the battlefield with a sizable portion of the army guarding them.

OOC: OH my. My mistake. I should have taken the time to read the previous three dozen posts. :P But since you know anyway, I'll just leave it as it is.

"Fools, they think we are," Arthus laughed and scorned at the latest action of the dark mages. They had smug expressions on their faces as they thought they had defeated their enemy. "Well, I'll teach them fools..."

For lo, the hundred Dragon Knights and the thousand elves were actually SHADOW replications of the original. This was the work of the powerful Archmages of Azeria. They had managed to duplicate the forms of their targets into a shadow clone, and these clones had the abilities of those they had duplicated, and were also made of some substance. Thus, these shadow clones were able to hurt and kill their enemies while the true ones hid a mile or so away. However, one hit on these clones would cause them to disappear like wisps. And so it was with these clones as the enemy mages spellbolts struck them.

And now, a hundred or so feet higher up in the air, the TRUE Dragon Knights and Stormwood elves came sweeping down to decimate their enemies once more, just as their predecessor clones did.

This attempt had to work. But should it fail, Arthus still has one last card to play...And should he be forced to consider this option, it would ensure that the evil within Castle Doom will never be able to expand it's influences unto the world...

I'd consider this overpowered, but what with Apoc Knights and Liches with 150 Mage lackeys running around, why not.
Name: Aeris Mahoney (No relation to any other character, just like the name)

Class/Job: Phoenix Guard (Custom DnD Class, Cleric PRC, Description below)
Appearance: Blue Eyes, Firey Red Hair, Fair complexion.
Alignment: Lawful Good

Class Overview: Phoenix Guards are basically Clerics who serve to protect and care for Elder Phoenixes when they are reborn, and to care for their kith. While genrally not seeing much combat, they are trained with minor arcane prowess by their patron, and thus have moderate offensive magic. This comes at the price of wearing little to no armor for fear of spell interferance.

Patron Phoenix, and reason for being here: Vosh, Aeris's Patron Elder Phoenix, is an old Firebird, and is very sarcastic and cynical for one of his race. He especially hates the undead, and uses his guard retinue to seek and destroy greater undead who could be capable of gaining followers and going on a killing spree. Aeris was dispatched to aid to assaulting forces on the Castle of Doom, but, due to a poor map, arrived late.

Superbasic Personality Overview: Aeris is a rather Prodigious Phoenix Guard, easily mastering skills far and beyond her age with relative ease. Like most humans, she learns quickly, but does not excercise all the discipline that needs to come with these skills.

Items of Note
Mithril Staff: Aeris's Mithril Battlestaff is a generic battlestaff with a ruby Foci and a Phoenix Feather Core. Notably increases Curative magic effectiveness, especially on humans. (they are simple and easy to repair)

Phoenix Medallion: Being Vosh's Personal Favorite, Aeris was given the Medallion Phoenix, a powerful magical necklace that ressurrects the weilder upon death once per day. It also provides protection agaisnt death magic.

Phoenix Guard Battle Robe: A White robe with a flame design, underlayered with mithril ringmail for maximum mobility while providing decent protection.

Holy Symbol: Used for turning lesser undead.

Charged Mana Crystal: A Mana crystal charged with enough mana to vaporize the average mage. Why on earth Vosh gave this to her is beyond comprehension.

Spells of note: DnD Heal Line, Searing Light, Sunbeam, Immolate, Restore, Arcane Haywire (disables/intereferes with arcane magics already cast for approximately 30 seconds)

Aeris carefully walked through the dense woods, knocking brush and vines aside with her staff. "Gah. getting lost is overrated, I'll be lucky to even get there before the battle is over." She sighed, Looking at her ruined map. After a short while more, she reached the edge of the forest, a war-torn battlescape streching out before her. In the distance, a castle could be seen, and hundreds of Dragon Knights and what appeared to be Pegasi were being assailed by an awe inspiring display of arcane magic from the ground. She stood in shock as the battle raged on. In the foreground, she could see a knight dueling with a woman who didnt look quite dead, but had to be, because no unarmored mortal could survive the bloody fray they were engaged in. Aeris tapped her necklace, trying to contact Vosh back at the sanctuary. "I am here" she said, "This appears to be the castle." "Well of course it is, silly girl. What other place would be swarming with undead, and crackling with more lethal energy than the last arcane magiks show in Vimmerheim?" Vosh replied. Aeris shrugged, and slowly walked onto the field.

OOC: Holy... Lotsa stuff happens while I (try) to sleep.

BiC: Charcion swept down with his sword, in an attempt to sever Wind's hand, but she pulled away at the last minute. He felt the pain dull to a throb, as he jumped to the side, barely avoiding Wind's sword, and he thrusted Za'roc through her stomach as he flipped her over his head. Lastly, he stepped on her neck, snapping the bones which he knew would knit if constant pressure wasn't applied. She pulled another one of her magic blast things that hit him square in the face. He stumbled backwards and shook his head to clear it as he looked Wind straight in the eyes as she got up. "Why won't you just goddamn die....." he said. Suddenly, he felt another presence approaching the battlefield, and swiveled his head for little less than a second. He mentally smacked himself. "Don't get distracted you fool..." he thought.

Notikas fought for his life, as the amount of zombies, Ebon Gaurd, and skeletons increased. He too, felt the presence Charcion sensed, yet he was not in an honorable duel, so he could investigate. He slashed a zombie in two as he searched for a patch of shadows. Spotting one, he jumped past his new assailant and made a mad dash towards them. As he reached them, he saw the new Dragon Riders and elves drop from the sky, only to be replaced a few moments later. He smiled and saluted the other paladin for his cunning, then turned back to the task at hand, disappearing into the shadows.

OOC: Yay! Reinforcement! Now for characters good guys have Arthus, Notikas & Charcion and Aeris! Against hordes of undead, Nezurahl, and the newly dead Wind!

Aeris took another moment to survey the battlefield. It seemed the main threat was the large spellcircle of magi, but Aeris knew she couldnt simply charge in and politely ask them to stop, so she turned her attention to the more immediate situation, The beleaguered knight. "Start small, work your way up." She muttered, sprinting toward Charcion. Charcion seemed to glance in her direction for a moment, before turning back toward Wind, who had sprung back to her feet with unhuman speed. "Blast! I wont make it in time..." Aeris thought to herself, "and I'm too far away to use a spell... Wait. maybe, but I'd be temporarily vulnerable..." However, seeing the knight's condition, she threw caution to the wind, and gave a silent prayer "Lathander, help me be accurate and swift" ((No gods specified, I'll use him)) She stopped, held her staff like a javelin, and yelled "Seraph Strike!" The staff burst into an array of white light, and she launched it at Charcion's assailant, giving a quick prayer for accuracy, before resuming her run onto the field.
