Stranger in a strange land.

Competitive, argumentative,
The human race is on a pace To destroy itself, left on the shelf of evolution, the resolution that we made to play God with things that we don't understand, which reprimands the fools who thought, the fools who sought control of the world, were brought down by the things that they made The things that were put on parade in front of us all as toys, not human, not real beings with feelings and thoughts that could change us all, that would cause the fall of civilization, and bring the world devastation of untold measure. Human folly, human error, causing wars, creating terror because we thought that it was okay... that we could just play God all day.

Very profound, Cloud. Reminds me of the chimera discussion.

Look around you. (look inside...)
They're there. (On the wayside) Thirsting, wanting, feeling. (Crying for help...) Trying to rise up, cry out. (The features melt) Trying to tell the world (Trying to tell you) of the danger coming, (That our time is due) coming to swallow us (Brought by our guilt) and end in pain...(Destroy what we've built...) Listen to them. (Feel their words...) Heed the call...(It's not absurd...) Protect the future...(Our only hope) Or pay in pain...(Hung by a rope...) Within the light, (Out of the dark) Within our view, (From our own hearts) The last delight (The last memory) we never knew. (The final reverie...)

Numb
Tell me why my dreams fade away…
Tell me why there’s nothing I can say… Tell me why I’m feeling this way… ‘Cause now I feel nothing I feel nothing anymore Tell me how I face tomorrow… Tell me I should give up my sorrow… Or tell me nothing at all ‘Cause I feel nothing I feel nothing at all No, don’t feel nothing I feel nothing anymore Tell me that I will be fine… Tell me that someday is mine… Tell me that is only takes time… ‘Cause I feel nothing I feel nothing right now

Free Verse
is an irregular form of poetry in which the content free of traditional rules of versification, (freedom from fixed meter or rhyme). In moving from line to line, the poet's main consideration is where to insert line breaks. Some ways of doing this include breaking the line where there is a natural pause or at a point of suspense for the reader.

This isn't my poem. It's actually one that CelesJessa sent to me quite a while ago. She wrote it for English Class, and said that it reminded her a lot of one of my characters in an RP we were in together. Here it is:
The Warrior and his Angel by CelesJessa The warrior fell to his knees, his blood drenching the ground, a tear slides down his cheek, a miracle, hoping to be found. He closed his eyes, the end drawing near, To die here alone filled him with fear. He was defiant, unwilling to face, to die here alone, without a tender embrace. He felt a soft touch, was it just in his mind? He opened his eyes, To see love's divine. "Was she a Seraph, One of God's own? To welcome me to His eternal home?" He closed his eyes again, ready to depart, She clutched his hand, and placed it on her heart. "O maiden," he cried As she pulled him to her chest, "Are you here to bring me eternal rest?" A melancholy smile, spread across her face, "I'm sorry, my love, but this is your place." He started to tell her, he was ready to move on, but when his eyes opened, his angel was gone.

I have a signature. It's a really cool one, too. It's so awesome, you'd pull your eyes out and punch your mother. Sadly, these rules state that my signature is just too darned big. Too much awesome for such a small space. Oh well. You can still punch your mother...if you want... Fifth and Krylo made me do it. http://www.animecubed.com/billy/user...sigs/60266.jpg Be the Ultimate Ninja! Play Billy Vs. SNAKEMAN today! |
