Default Ganbare Goemon / Mystical Ninja

Has anyone here ever played, or at least heard of the Ganbare Goemon / Mystical Ninja series?

It combines action-side scrolling, 3D platforming and RPG elements. Think of a Castlevania and Zelda combo, set in Feudal Japan, with quirky Japanese humor.

I know that, in the states, one game was released for the SNES, and then two for the N64: Mystical Ninja ~ Starring Goemon and Goemon's Great Adventure; both great games, if only a bit short.

My question is, is Konami EVER going to release the Mystical Ninja game for PS2? I know it's indefinitely postponed, so I'd like to know if anyone has heard any further news on it?

RPGamer has little information on it, you can check it out here: http://www.rpgamer.com/games/other/p...on/goemon.html

I can proudly say that I've played both Nintendo 64 games, and beaten the first one (can't remember if I beat the second).

Seiously, Konami should continue the series, or at least have some cameos in other games. I loved Goemon Impact (or whatever the giant mech is named), especially because of his funny theme song (DASH DASH DASH!!!) and the pre-boss fight skating sequences. Not to mention both games I played were funny and enjoyable as a whole.

Unfortunately, I don't have any information about sequels coming out, although I hope for the best (GameCube would be the most likely canidate, I think...).

Yes, the Goemon games were truely good games. I remember renting the first N64 game on at least 4 seperate occasions. My favorite thing was that little robot guy, I think his name was Sosuke, but I'm not 100% on that. I wish they would make another Goemon game. We need another Snowboard Kids game too, that game was sweet techno snowboarding paradise.

Legend of the Mystical Ninja is one of my favorite co-op games ever.

I just wish that someone would translate the two SNES sequels for that game. They have the same gameplay as Legend of the Mystical Ninja, it's just expanded upon. But... I can't read Japanese, so that hinders my chances of enjoying the games.
