In FFT Cid is Thunder God Cid, the best damn swordsman ever! Actual name, Orlanldu Cidofalas, I believe.
And Biggs/Wedge weren't pluto knights, I just restarted playing FFIX, and the pluto knights are: Blutzen Kohel Laudo Weimer Haagen Bei...something Mullenkedheim And there's another whose name I can't remember, but Biggs/Wedge weren't in there.

Are you sure? I'm pretty sure I remember them being Pluto Knights. Maybe not pluto knights, but definetly a knight of some variety. Wait matne they were in the auction house...I have no idea anymore, I'm too confused.

Umm...well this is all well and good, and I'm sure it's VERY interesting (BTW I do know that Biggs and Wedge were the AVALANCHE dudes who died at the very beginning) but it doesn't REALLY answer my question.
I don't know much about FF. When did the first one with Biggs and Wedge come out? After SW (1977) I would guess, but I dunno. DO YOU?

I think it's ironic that Biggs and Wedge are always unimportant characters in FF games, but really Biggs was the only one who died right away in Star Wars. Wedge went on to be a leader of Rogue Squadron, was cast in all three movies, is a main character several books after the trilogy, etc.
I agree with whoever said the FF makers were just nerds making a tribute to SW. Maybe Wedge and Biggs will be mentioned in SW Episode 3? (dun dun dun!) I haven't been keeping up with Episode 3 news, it's just a guess. |
