work experience

I did not know where to put this topic. I have a couple of questions and I would like some help. all help would be greatly appreciated.

1) are there any companies in Australia that make games?
2) would they accept work experience candidates?

1) Not many from what I hear, but there are development companies all over the world. Spend a while checking google (a good phrase is 'based in australia' or something to that effect) and you will surely come across one or two.

2) They usually like a good deal of experience, but there's nothing stopping anyone from trying. The worst thing that can happen is they say no. So, no sense in not at least applying. Or whatever the ritual is.

Indeed, what he of the shining nature said. If you do find one, it never hurts to try. It helps to have experience, yes, but you won't lose anything if you apply and don't get the job. And if you do get the job, well then, you have gained quite a bit!

... I forgot exactly the wording I was going to use the instant my fingers touched the keys, so ackward stupidness you are getting!
