Just when you thought it was safe to read the comic thread again, Mauve had to post another episode of Finding Meister. This is the first part of a mini-storyline called "The Heist." Once it is finished, I plan to take "Finding Meister" in an entirely different direction. One that doesn't involve the usual "Capture, interrogate, get butts kicked, repeat" method.

Some of you folk will remember this sketch by SephirothSama from a little while back. Well, Cloud asked if I'd color it up, and I did over a period of two days, and I'm very happy with how it came out.

FUN FACT: The lineart took longer than the color. o_O

Just got Macromedia Flash MX 2004 Professional today, and decided I wanted to celebrate! Here it is! (I hope)

edit: I'm just starting with Flash, been taking a college course on it for about 3 weeks now, my teacher would hate how I did the movie, but the movie turned out well anyway.

EDIT-- Well, I redrew some of the shading below the cape and on her arm, but I forgot to change the shape of the cape to curve properly around her shoulders. I'll get to it eventually.

Maybe I'll break down and show Versions 0.25 and 0.5 while I'm at it.

Well, I'm trying different art styles with my preferred medium, Microsoft Paint. If anyone's been to the Findnig Meister forum, they've probably seen the Newb, Loyal, and Mauve portraits in the free-handed style. This one I did using a framework 'skeleton,' and also using more detailed shading. Sorry BMG!, but you're my guinea pig today.

This is a nice style for portraits, but it takes too long to use for comic-ing purposes. I mean, all I'm workin' with here is MS Paint and a laptop mousepad. I need a scanner.
