I hate to see this game stagnate any longer. So to give the rest of you guys something to go on, I'll leave a hint. My don's name starts and ends with the same letter. Happy hunting. That way, the game might get more interesting.

Well, 'twould appear that I am dead. It's been fun y'all, and for a first time player I guess I must not have been doing too awful badly because the cult wanted me in and the mafia (I assume that's who killed me, no special knowledge) wanted me dead. So I'll tip my hat to y'all and see ya in the next game.

(but, like TGT said in his farewell, don't let the thread die. I really want to see who's who in this thing)

Now there are only two people who match this criteria that TGT gave. Those two people are Twiddy and myself. I know I'm not a mafiate and would like to see how Twiddy reacts to this accusation

However, there is a significant possibility that TGT just said this to get another non-mafiate killed. He did refer to the mafia don who has already been killed. Admittedly he could have been referring to the new leader.

Now, whie I am holding Twiddy suspicious until I see his reaction, for now I'll be indulging another theory.

He really has been lurking around the edges and some of his behaviour has made me a bit suspicious. I'd like to see how he reacts to this accusation.

How am I reacting to this? I didn't even know it could have applied to me at first.^^;;; (that is so getting me lynched for the reason that "I was trying to act like I didn't know I was the scum refered to", but I seriously don't care. As that's a lie.)

Really, though, this is a somewhat effective plan. If we all assume that he's telling the truth, and he's not, he could effectively kill two townies over two nights. One gets lynched, and the town sees he's a townie. They then lynch the other other, assuming he's the new mafia leader. This would also give the mafia two free nights to kill who they please. Really, if we follow his advice, and it's wrong, that leaves four townies dead over the course of two nights. That's a hard pill to swallow.

Also, we really have no reason to believe him. I mean, he already lied to us and screwed us over. So, it would be a big risk to take to believe him, and he hasn't shown to be, ahem, honorable this game.

Oh, and I'll also throw in that I'm a townie, but it's not like any of you care that I say that.

At first, I was tempted to get really annoyed over this, but the five or so extra pages gave me time to calm down. Just next time let me be awake when I die, you know, just for kicks. Take a good look at those final few people who sent me into the realm of auto-lynching without a final word.
One more thing, I just noticed that I'm some kind of reverse Mesden. I've always been a normal role-less townie (except in SoL mafia, where I only started as one). Anyway enjoy the rest of your game, GO TOWN!

Okay, there are sixteen of us left. Of those sixteen, there are five of us that we can be pretty sure are townies. Those five are:

That leaves us with eleven people we're unsure of:

Now, if we assume that TGT's "hint" is just to convince us to lynch two townies, and just assume those two are townies, then that leaves us with nine suspects.

Here are reasons to suspect those nine, in no particular order.

1. GARUD

You all know my reasons for suspecting him by now, mostly being silly and planning to lurk, but he hasn't said anything for a while now and is actually lurking.

2. Steel Shadow

This one came to me while reading TGT's "hint", if you consider that this Mafia in particular likes messing with our heads. TGT's false roleclaim is the one you'll probably think of immediately, but don't forget that B_Real did tell us directly that he was the Don and nobody took that seriously. It's possible that Steel Shadow's nickname "SS" (which, is sadly, used by too many people) is the name that TGT was hinting to. However, it seems just too big of a stretch right now to be plausible.

3. Daisuke

Daisuke's last post was quite a while ago, and he generally never added anything. It's also hard to tell if he's really gone or not, since the majority all of his posts are in the Forum Games section. Regardless, he hasn't been saying anything for a while, and it's suspicious.

4. MariusTwilight

He's been playing it safe this entire game, never really adding anything, never making a vote unless it's obvious that the person is going to be lynched.

5. CrazyBen

Three posts the entire game, long period of absence, just recently shown up. Enough said, or rather...not enough to say.

6. Sithdarth

Long absence. A really long one. 3 posts. One saying he might have to drop, another not saying anything at all, and the third is saying he will be around to play after all and an obvious vote against TGT.

7. Me

I'm Ecurt. Of course I'm suspicious, but what specifically makes me a suspect in this particular game? A lot, actually. Aside from the TGT incident, I've been after GARUD this whole time. Then there was the whole "I don't want to make him a liar, y'know?" issue. In another light, I've also been too helpful, defending people when I really didn't need to.

Taken from his last post, which happens to only be his fourth one. In general, he seems to be purposefully confusing us.

9. Newb

This one was interesting. Arhra was suspicious of Newb, so I checked around. This is yet another unlikely interpretation of TGT's "hint". Newb's name starts with an N, and his listed Yahoo, Skype, and MSN chat accounts (Ilgivan) all end in N. However, this is too unreliable of a reason to vote for Newb, but there are also other reasons that make him suspicious. This post is the first to come to mind:

And who's to say that Mesden couldn't have both rolled the Paranoid personality and the Cult Leader role?

Also, I think that IC has recieved the Insane personality.

As you can see, he tries to convince people that Mesden is the Cult Head, despite how likely it would be. Then, he says that IC must be lynched. Not so bad in and of itself, but he says it based off the assumption that IC would have a personality (which he had, but not the one described)-one that is likely to be a townie at that. Also not that Newb was trying to discredit IC from the very beginning and continues to do so until IC is revealed to be a townie which, again, isn't much by itself, but something to consider. Finally, he was also one of the last people to help lynch secretskull.

He's scummy to me, that's for sure. My gut feelings say that he's not Mafia, but he has some role, and the Cult Head comment makes me think he's the CL, especially when you consider that Raiden's been the PO this entire time.

I'm not about to vote for Newb just yet though. We were a little too hasty in lynching secretskull, and if we had been a little more cautious we probably wouldn't have fallen for their trick. Newb himself pointed out that an evil role probably had the "Insightful" personality, and if we had taken that into consideration...

PS: To add to your post Secretskull, let me point out that it was "Mesden" that was the one that got you killed as well. ^^;

Something about this comment rubbed me wrong. I kinda felt that he was sort of redirecting attention to the lurkers. But from experience, most of the lurkers are just townies who can't get to a computer.

I think I know what the mafia might be doing. Ever heard the term, "Hiding in broad daylight"? Well, it may be applicable here. Lurking is generally a "Mafia" type of action (well, considered anyway), so it is same to assume that due to experince and knowledge of previous games they might be trying an opposite tactic. However, they might have interpreted that we would figure this, and "Lurk". Circular logic there. However, they would probably not figure past the "Don't Lurk" stage. So I assume, they would be contributing alot more than most. And who has the highest post count? Roy D Mylote. Loo at the other posts. B_Real, who is just as experienced as Roy is just as vocal until the death was aparent.

I know this sounds suspicious, coming from someone with a small post count in this thread, but look at all the evidence. Well, the pseudo-evidence. We don't really have evidence.

Also, call it a gut feeling, but Roy has really seemed to stand out this time (apart from Mesden who usually stands out, and Nikose who is a known townie). So, therefore, I'm going with my gut, and my deduction...

Bah, it appears that I missed Roy (having accidentally counted Arhra as one of the eleven unknowns).

Anyway, the general things that make Roy suspicious is that he can be confusing at times, and instead of posting too little he seems to almost post too much. I sense nothing out of the ordinary from him yet, though, and there are still other more suspicious people out there.

EDIT: Also, interestingly enough, the moment I said GARUD hasn't said anything, he makes the biggest and serious post he's made all game. XD

Huh, I am posting less than I normally do, aren't I?

This is week 3 of a 4 week camp where I am a counselor and must stop small children from killing each other all day. I leave it to those who have younger siblings to imagine the prospects of herding fifteen third graders for two miles every day.

Anyway, I did not say that Mesden was the cult leader, just that we shouldn't discount her yet, because everybody seemed about ready to ignore her because of her personality.

Also, there's probably other things which I have to argue against, but I'm very tired and I have to be going in two minutes so I'll try to find them when I get home, after 10:00 tonight because the play at the local theater is running rehearsals and build crew on tuesdays thursdays and sundays.

Guess who decided to join up with the build crew!
