My reasoning is simple; it's the same as every other first day. The sooner we see what happens at night, the more likely we are to see some clues. Night comes when someone is lynched.

If we lynch someone quickly and randomly, it's more likely that the mafia will be able to manipulate the vote without anyone noticing.

We don't all decide who we want to kill. We end up follwing one or two people who make big posts so you think they are right.

And my way isn't random, it's a system. We start from the bottom and go up.

Much easier said than done. The thing is, people who are good at manipulation don't let their victims realize that they are being manipulated.

IHMN: That's even worse than random. Because the game is set up randomly. You cannot assume that there are enough townies at the top of the list for that to even work.

But the mafia will have to kill according to the list if we lynch by the list. Then we can narrow down who is the mafia.

That just means that the mafia would know who was going to be lynched next, and kill somebody on the other end of the list.

The cult would know who was going to be lynched next and would logically recruit people from the front of the list.

The Serial Killer would know who was going to be lynched next, and kill somebody on the other end of the list.

Seriously, IHMN. Your idea is flawed. A for effort, though.
