Aren`t we all Mature Children?

I was at one of my other forums today, and was absolutely appalled by what I was reading. Beevis and Butthead, devolved, would not apply such twists and mutations to the English language.

Neither would they stoop to the depths of underhell for topics.

Please allow me to thank my fellow posters here on this forum for being Adults / decently grown up. If you are younger than the age of majority, or if you refuse to actually grow up, then be thanked as a "Mature Child".

Here at Nuklear Power, one can find food for the brain as well as the heart. It has been such a pleasure to read and participate. The forum games are clever, the discussion threads as decently even as possible, and even the moderated spam topic is amusing. I also like the fact that there is an "Arts and Crafts" selection, so that we as members can share our passions in art.

The Administrator and Moderator Teams are also stellar in their ministrations.
If not for your no nonsense attitude, gracious KNOWS what aberrations of the human soul would splat over these pages.
They appear to be the perfect combination of Terminator and Mr. Rogers...well, maybe not FifthFiend (for what words can really DESCRIBE that particular malevolent-sounding yet fair person?), but that`s another story.

Again, thank you for making this forum kick-ass, everyone. My heart is ajoy with happiness and goodwill.

Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! Oh man, oh crying of laughter! Just...oh god that's spectacular!

But, topicly: Yeeeup, NPF is about the best forum around, if only because the mod's really give a damn about the place.

Which gives us all this nice little safe haven from idiocy (sometimes).

But I fucking swear they're scary. You may think "Oh, Fifth and Krylo aren't that bad." You have not seen Cro/Mash do anything.

The words boggle the mind. Boggle the mind! BOGGLE THE GODDAMN MIND!

I actually prefer this to another forum i once frequented. However, it was ruined by the fact there were some people who were opnely hostile towards people and the fact the mods didn't seem to give a rats ass anymore. While NPF t me seems like a clean well adjusted place, this other was like War Torn Europe circa 1940.

Well, I'm told I'm literally a Mature Child.

I am 15. And whenever I tell anybody that fact, they're always like "Holy shit, I thought you were older!"

Same thing when they hear my voice. Or see what I look like. =D

But, more on topic, this is the only forum I really go to, and I hold all other forums I see to the high standard set by here. =D I love this place.

If there was a forum rank, it would probably go like this:

Top: NPF
Low: Everything else
Bottom of the barrel: Gamefaqs

How can you not love the guys here, huh? Huh?! Except for fifthfiend, of course. Nobody loves fifthfiend, and that's a statistically proven fact.

Honestly, the only thing wrong I can find here at the NPF is sometimes, not often, but sometimes, people get hot-headed over trivial issues, but then again, what place is perfect?

The only other forum I can stand to be in is the RPGClassics forum, (recently became a forumer there.) and everywhere else, is dreck. Allow me to demostrate with a forum comparison using the same topic.

Here at the NPF . . .

Forumer 1: I find Half-Life to be shallow and pedantic.

Forumer 2: I agree. Shallow and pedantic.

Forumer 3: Indeed. Shallow and pedantic. but you know deep within your heart of hearts that Half-Life rules all.

Now, here's that same thread, at RPGClassics . . .

Forumer 1: I don't like Half-Life.

Forumer 2: Me neither.

Forumer 3: *invokes the spirit of Squall* . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Whatever.

Not as civilized, but I do appreciate the laid-back atmosphere. Now, here's every other forum concerning my thread . . .

Forumer 1: HALF-LIFE SUX!!!!! VALVE IS TOTILY GAYE!!11

Forumer 2: D00D STFU!!! HALF-LIFE OWNZ!!!

Forumer 3: LOLZERS!!!!!!

Sweet Zombie Jesus, I can't believe I just typed that. Now I'm gonna lose sleep tonight. But yeah, this place is unusually mature for an online forum. That's something to be treasured, really.

Well we mostly have the mods to thank for this, as close as I can tell. I mean, since they actually set a standard by never going "OMG STFUNewb!!!!!!!11 DEBANDED!!11" Everyone else has the decency to follow suit, and those that don't get left behind where all the banned people go...probably GameFAQs.

Let's see...Been around since early 2002...I remember poking around back before Shiney was the forum Nazi that he is today.

Hell, I remember the abuse/advice thread Geico the Gecko had....wonder what happoned to her...

Oh yeah. It's defentally the Mods that help, but also the regular forumites that help the mods do their job, taking care of the more mundane jobs such as reminding them about the rules, and reporting the more severe posts.
