Counter-Strike Weapons Economy (CSMarket)

Cliqqa!

I think this is a great development for the CS franchise. I'm sure it'll stir up some controversy, but I think this is good move for several reasons:

*First and foremost, it adds an interesting new dynamic to the gameplay. Every purchase, every shot will count that much more. You can't just go guns blazing and expect an AK every round, now (especially since it's a popular weapon).
*It cuts down on everyone and their mother being an AWP-whore--just a deviation of the previous point
*I'm pretty sure that servers that don't want to comply with this economy can set their own prices, so that's good for non-adherents.
*Allows us to observe another sociological trend in the world's most popular FPS.

CS/S is an amazing franchise, and will definitely age well, but it has been in need of innovations to keep it goin, and this is just the thing. First a new radar, and now this? Sign me up!

Well that's great. I always wondered why there even is money in the game when people basically just buy whatever they want. Heh, they could take a leaf from Project Entropia and have players pay for every bullet with real life moneys. Now that'd be hardcore.

Odly enough ive had CS:S and the original for ages but I never got around to playing because of all the jerks and high learning curve. All im hopong is that this makes it a little more accessible for new players and that it ticks off the jerks.

I donno, I always found "all the jerks" to be a tenuous reason at best. There's tons of servers. High learning curve, maybe--but there's always another server to go to, so I don't think there's a lack of neutral or nice people.

Weeeeeeeeeeeee!!!! After 2.5 weeks, I have my compy back!!!!

Anyway, I like this interesting idea. although I buy the AK alot (I snipe, no "spray and pray" mind you), this would make it all more... inviting. perhaps i will play CS:S tommarrow. The only problem with this is that the server I play at used to have it's own maps and customizations and such, but the new radar trashed it. I wonder if this will do the same...

I find it interesting, it would make some people to use other guns then the AK, or M4 and even the awp, althought >_> no matter what the price i can still see people buying at using it. unless i happen to pick up one, i'm using a scout and the price of those have gone down. ^^ yay

More on subject, Source strikes me as weak, adding this in while cool doesn't change the fundamental flaws in the game (ie: slow movement, accurate weapons, too damn easy). Just IMO.
