I think certain people are missing the fact that its funnier this way.
Apologies for the delays - was suffering from a mite of writer's block. I'm wanting to get this battle wrapped up fairly quickly, so don't be afraid of taking some significant actions and writting a bit of back and forth in your posts. Anyway, I'll have to reprimand you Hawk - that head kill was too easily done. Insane enemies are quite tough after all. Also, given the size of the hydra, I doubt its physically possible to do that. Still, for ease of organisation, we'll go on with that outcome. This hydra has a few tricks the regular serpentine hydra didn't - although I haven't gone into the reasons why yet. Also, Flare, you seem to have forgotten about that train. I assumed you got to its other side at some point, but pay more attention to positioning in the future would you? And here, for your viewing pleasure, is the sphinx's profile. Does she actually have a name? Wooo, mysterious... Name: Sphinx, Former Gatekeeper Class: Beyond Insane Appearance: Being a sphinx, this elegant creature has the body of a lion, the wings of an eagle and the head of a beautiful woman. Her wings are a striking pattern of red, brown and white, complementating her tawny coat and russet hair. Her face has leonine features, including a mouth full of pearly white, extremely sharp, teeth. As Syttulg can attest, her claws are sharp also. While in their first meeting, she had all the laidback disinterest of a professional secretary combined with a housecat, she's quite focused now. Abilities/weapons: Riddling Dweomer: The sphinx can create a variety of magical effects of considerable potency. However, these have a flaw in them, some puzzle or riddle that allows them to be unravelled. A very simple example is mazing someone - they're taken out of the battle until they can find their way out of the maze. The teeth and the claws and the MAULING: The sphinx is also quite good at fighting up close.

Actually, it's a mighty fine pun. Hot fusion is just normal ol' nuclear fusion. If, say, I'd been doing another double tech with Mauve that involved Blizzaga, then I would've gone with "Cold Fusion", which is a theoretical form of fusion that is done at room temperature and doesn't bear as much risk of killing everyone if even the slightest thing goes wrong.
Or, at least, that's how I understand it. Anyway, "Hot Fusion" is a great pun and how dare you insinuate otherwise!

It might be a good pun, but Stampede is a better combotech and you know it!

In my defense, I haven't fired yet, and can still move around.

And in MY defense, I only killed ONE of twelve heads, plus it WAS dazed while I rushed at it with incredible speed, all of which is well within my power. I haven't really used my talons in combat yet and so wanted to use them now. This was the only plausible way in which to do so and what other part of a twelve headed creature WOULD I attack??
I know I'm not hugely powerful. I can't say, BLOW UP A BOULDER IN ONE HIT, so I figured ONE head would be ok. Furthermore, I knew you would throw in a response to make it more difficult, which I was counting on. Furthermore again, you yourself just said: Quote:
I now don't know what the hell I'm allowed to do and what not to do because it seems everything I try and do you seem to have problems with, even when you quite clearly state that those problems AREN'T problems!

I am assuming i can entice Thod out of battle with pizza goodness, and will try and convince him to open his own Pizza shop where he can eat all the profits, or i'll run out of pizza at a really bad stage and i'll die lol

Hawk, it comes down to outcomes being acceptable, but the ease with which they were achieved was not. The monster ratings give a clear indication of how difficult to fight an enemy is and that didn't really give any sense of challenge.
And Tarrin, that is quite a cunning plan.

Uh, exploding to signal to others perhaps?
I don't know if it would be very good for her health to do that though. Who would she be signalling to anyway? In other news, Mauve is funny! That's some fine postin'. Yes, me complimenting someone! Didn't see that coming, did you?

Phil, you really need to invest in a white cat and a haircut. According to Core Rulebook V: So You Think You Can Summon, doing this allows you to put lasers on any summoned creature of Large size or bigger as a free action, with no additional cost to your mana pool.
