I like M*A*S*H, and my favorite episode might be the The Conference. It's the one with the psychiatrist and the crazy guy who holds Frank hostage in the shower. Oh, and everyone is playing poker in that episode.

I loved M*A*S*H growing up, but I liked it best when Major Winchester was there--Burns was just too whiny and annoying. Winchester was a bit of a pain in the ass in the beginning, like Burns, but he gradually revealed his cleverness, sense of humor, and even his ability to care for others.Goodbye, Farewell, and Amen was both heartbreaking and happy...but the scene I think I'll never forget, out of all of the episodes, was when Radar came in and told the staff about Colonel Henry Blake's death. According to the behind-the-scenes special, NO ONE (other than the scriptwriters, of course) knew that Henry had died until Radar read the bulletin...the reactions of the cast were all ad-libbed.

I know about the scene with Henry's death. You're right... I don't think they knew about it until the day they shot it.

I liked the last episode a lot. It had some comedy, drama, and tragedy. And my favorite scene would have to be the last one, when everyone is saying goodbye.

I don't know what's happened to T.V. since. There's been good shows, but almost all of them pale compared to M*A*S*H.

That was because McLean Stevenson was incredibly loathed on the show. So when he wanted out, he got out.

I think the show picked up when Harry Morgan (Col. Potter) showed up. That is my opinion at least.

And to be honest, Winchester is my favorite.

I absolutely love M*A*S*H and watch it on TVland all the time. An amazingly well written and well acted show about a horrible war.

My favorite episode is the one where the TV reporter comes to interview the unit and they keep cutting between the interviews of how the soldiers are coping with stupid news reports about celebrities and such.

I rewatched a show today on my dads dvd collection. It's the one where they do all of those weird dreams. I think that one particular episode was co-written by Alan Alda.
That episode left me in a very weird situation: I wasn't sure I was sad, happy or relieved. It kind of left a hole inside me...very confusing.
But I think it's going to become my next favorite episode after the good-bye Radar ones.
