Hmm, interesting proposition. Yes, you can do that, but you can't learn an infinite number of languages this way. I'd say up to three. You can only focus on 'learning' one language at a time. You can switch this focus about fairly quickly.
Your abilities will allow you to learn only some of a language; if your character wishes to truly speak it fluently they will have to get someone to teach them more vocabulary and such. (statistically though you still learn languages much faster than average.) If you attempt to focus on a language and you already have three, you will forget the one you know weakest. I might hammer this out a little more later, but for now this is good. Goodnight or morning to everybody.

The Obfuscated One

I was actually thinking that I'd forget the language as I spent time away from people who knew it, so that if I was with somebody who knew it for three hours, left for an hour, and came back, it would be as if I had only been around them for two hours.
But I like your version too.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I have no power right now, due to an ice storm. I won't be able to post for a little while, just letting everyone know. If Khael could take over my character until I get back, I would greatly appreciate it.

It's okay Myst; I doubt Lindo's gonna want to come down for a while with Erthiz right at the base of the tree anyway.
Newb: I was trying to figure out if I'd missed something, and the language decay rate you've described fills that little gap that was bugging me adequately. The 'fourth language deletes the next weakest one' will still apply; it won't be as likely to occur with the decay. Wait, you're stuck with an ice storm!? Lucky bastard! All I'm getting is rain! I mean, I really like rain, but it's so out of place. I remember when I was little and missed the rain during winter. Now I'm practically 19 and incapable of enjoying this reality without ruining it for myself with the awareness that it's a bad thing.

I am quite partial to insane wind conditions myself, unfortunately people die because of it.
Anyway we have been doing nothing at all for half a chapter. When are we moving on? |

I don't know! People seem really adamant about doing something with this poor snake-thing, but can't seem to agree on what. That's the issue mostly. And milking the snake would be easier if it were somewhat smaller. Stupid dice.
You actually aren't that far from the water source you were walking towards, so please don't hunt me down in real life and kill me. ...Please?

well, first of al, its ass is getting milked, I came u with it, so I get first dibs. After that, the rocket can go up its ass for all I care. (Do snakes even have asses?) But really, once Im done milking it, we should just stab it in the neck and move on.

In answer to your disturbing question, yes. Snakes do have asses. Good luck getting it to fit though, those rockets are essentially large fireworks.
Okay, now I go purge those horrid images from my mind. With blunt trauma.
