By far my faves are Raphael and Ivy. Both are CRITICALLY annoying and do get braging rights after you win. The auto-doge stance with Raphael and his quick moves, plus a good amount of reverse blocking and side stepping lead to a very good charater. But like all good charaters comes there defeats..*Sighs*....Damn you Nightmare, damn you.

Actually, a couple of Raphael's stances auto-guard impact as well, I think its the shift between Prep 1 and 2, or 3 and 2... something like that.

Also the retreat/jab attack (Down, Down/Away, Away, B) does this as well.

Yes, Nightmare was toned down for SCII - in SCI tapping B (horizontal attack) would cause him to swing down, then up, then down again. Blocking the first swing only makes the second unavoidable. Siegfried did this too. A friend of mine could beat normal (I think even hard) arcade just by tapping B. Often without being knocked out once.

Because the person who owned the game had lost the instruction manual without ever reading it, neither of us could figure out how the hell to counter that. We were helpless against the onslaught!

He still plays Nightmare, and claims to be able to kick the shit out of the AI while it's on the ground. Which, frighteningly enough, is exactly what the AI often does to ME. I'm good at hitting them when they're knocked into the air.

I once had a an experiment where I gave my five year old cousin the controller and had him play as Raphael. After teaching him how to do that three hit thing, he beat all my other cousins, most of which were almost four times his age.

The moral: anyone can play as Raphael and win.

who's going to take Heihachi over Link?
I WILL!!! Heihachi Kicks supreme @$$!!! If you can pull it off the ten hit combo will screw over most of the unexperienced even up to advanced players, the key with heihachi for me is to go at em like there is no tomorrow and usualy that works also instead of a block you can use heavens wraith i think i'm not sure i'll have to check that out...

On hard mode, Cassandra/Sophitia are probably the two most dangerous Inferno weapons (I can't tell the difference until I see the victory poses, which are distinctive.)

Raphael's three hit thing is pretty cheap, but if you time it right you can stop him with a forward guard impact, and kill him off from there. It's also a high/vertical attack, so anything that will make you sidestep or duck will give you the advantage (i.e. Taki's mizu rolls)

Cassandra jumps in place during her fighting stance

Sophitia just stands there

Personally, it's when I see Xiangua's stance that I start to worry. Also, I just found out that Inferno has a throw I like to call "Flaming Rusty Spike of Death" that he uses with any character.

Essentially, he grabs you by the ankle, flings you into the air, and holds his weapon straight up in to the air. Which you promptly land on. He then flings you off the weapon and relieves you of 33% of your life bar.
