Misa is a tool of Yagami Light. As such, it is safe to assume that killing you will hinder Light in the future.

I have no idea what it means in the show.

In this game, it means it completely hinders town and puts them a third closer to losing the game.

But hey, what do I know?

Basically, (from the way the show worked and extending that to this game), you're only town aligned until you find Light or until Light finds you. Then you become a part of his group and whatever your investigative powers are, become his to use to find L.

Also, why do I have 2 seperate vote counts?

Well, then your surmising is wrong, because I have no investigative powers.

I'm a Town-Aligned Serial Killer, who can kill when I get the Death Note. And I assume "Light" would be Cult Leader, because nothing in my description mentions him or L.

assuming thats true, then wouldn't killing the serial killer so early eliminate the main premise of this particular mafia game?

Dunno what the main premise is, but I'm Town-Aligned. The premise of Town is to kill everything not Town.

If Ape is telling the truth, then it is still highly likely that he can be recruited by Light. If we choose not to lynch Ape Boy, then he definently needs protection.

Also, I'm fairly sure he is telling the truth about himself. Most people wouldn't really expect Misa to be town-aligned, though it is odd that he role claimed at this point, it seems a bit early.
