The Obfuscated One
|
Name: David Brunstheim
Age: 23 Gender: Male Physical Description: Average to a fault. Brown hair, brown eyes, five foot nine... if all people were required to get tattoos of how many children they had, you might expect his to say two and a half. Ultimately, highly forgettable, but not at all unpleasant. Bio/Background/Etc: David was always a bright child, but he never managed to finish anything. He frustrated his parents because they could see that he had the talent to do anything he set his mind to if he simply practiced hard enough, but he kept quitting things before he got near to the end. Among other things, he has fourth and fifth level belts in about a dozen different martial arts disciplines, is halfway competent at any number of sports, and has at least taken an introductory course in a number of different subjects. After he dropped out of college, David drifted from job to job until he got a job with an inspections firm simply because he was so average and thus could wander in and do investigations of various companies and factories without exciting too much comment. One night, while he was on his way to a nearby bar instead of doing his job investigating a factory, he felt his very cells tearing apart from each other, breaking him into an agonized cloud of torment which proceeded to draw the air out of several beggars. When he awoke, he found that he was bruised all over, and in a hospital, where somebody had brought him after finding him. His firm assumed that his cover had been blown, and that was the cause of his bruises, and promptly fired him. Monster Name: B'riehs Appearance: A billowy cloud which, if it were spherical, would be five feet in diameter. Usually takes the form of various winged creatures, especially bats. Dark greys occasionally tinged with earthtones. Abilities/Powers: Can shift between a solid and a gas, and therefore can change shape, feeds on the breath of the living to gain energy, and suffocates anything it surrounds. When gaseous, is highly vulnerable to being dispersed. When solid, can control the wind.

So yeah, I'm interested but before I post a bio a few questions.
You mentioned something about partial morphing a while back, should we be including what we look like in that? And are the monsters a separate personality in the human? As in, could they have mental conversations?

Newb: Err...I don't quite get what you mean in your description. Can you spell it out a little clearer so that a lazy lout like me can understand it?

Which description needs clarification?
The human form is deliberately vague: he's so average and forgettable that anybody describing him might get him confused with half a dozen people that no two accounts of him will match. The monster form is basically a dark cloud that can form up into a giant bat-like thing when it turns solid.

Sounds overpowered to me, how are we supposed to kill you if you can just turn into a cloud and run away?
I think there should be some sort of a limit to how long his gas form can be maintained. I just think Toast was looking for more information on your powers, and to what extent can you use them.

Alright, I'll give it a shot.
Name: Nalin Alruse Age: 17 Gender: Male Physical Description: Slim, 5.8, 140 pounds, straight gold blond hair kept mid length, green eyes, pale skin. No muscles of which to speak, and rather feminine. Normally wears cargo pants and mildly tight shirts. Favours blue colors. Bio/Background/Etc: A High School student who rarely studies. But he somehow pulls off high scores on most (non-physical) tests and while not a genius is still smart and perceptive. Enjoys singing, and reading, but is far from averse to talking to others. He attempted to learn how to fence, but despite being "gifted" at it, he lost interest soon after learning the formal basics. Monster Name: Israfel Appearance: A human like monster, the main thing that sets him apart is the pale blue skin. The pale blue skin covers whatever he was wearing prior to the morphing, (his skin and clothes) so he’s able to switch between forms without terrible damage to his wardrobe. His hair lengthens to the small of his back, his canine teeth sharpen and his eyes become more vivid in color, but still very human. Has white bands of color on his wrists and the same white covers his legs making it looks like he's wearing pants of some sort. Carries a sword formed from some white crystal. Abilities/Powers: Can destroy sounds around him and increased agility. So…that’s what I have right now. I’m sorta looking to make this guy a sound swordsman, with a few water based tricks, if the cross element thing’s allowed, if not then just sound. Like a sword wielding siren. …Should I have included his full power form/development?

Well, the problem with the gas form is that it's way easy to break me apart while I'm like that. I can't really do it at all in high winds because that's suicide.
And I think that if he was looking for constraints on my gas form he would tell me what they were and then go "okay?" which would mean "This is law and don't you argue"
