Yes. It would have - if my plan was just about killing any random person.

Which it wasn't.

Even if I had picked a town power, analyzing the actions of the people at that time would still be more helpful than the randomness of the first day - which gives no immediate clues themselves. After all, randomness could still lead to a town role's lynching - like it or not, at least I gave it a direction.

But, probably no argument of mine is going to convince you, especially after I admitted I had some doubt myself over Spontaneous Combustion's innocence or guilt. Hell, I'll even admit that I made mistakes too, even if we disagree on what exactly they are.

That said, there have been three kills shown in the night. One of them is clearly the mafia, and two vigilantes or serial killers.

Something is bothering me, though. There were two shots fired at Greenly and Duffy, but only Greenly died. I don't know if that means if someone tried to kill Demetrius or not, though, since they both seem to come from the same hand - and all the other deaths included a single shot (but even then, those were single targets).

The real point is that you made a gamble and because of it, two mafiates are down. And isn't that the usually happens early in Mafia games? Townies usually take guesses and hope they're right... you just happened to be right.
