I say you ought to put Cocke in whatever group you think'll be doing the most fighting, or at least whichever group will fight Kefka. You can steal all kinds of good shit in this series of battles, and I think you can yank a Peace Ring or something from Kefka himself.

Also, whichever group fights Kefka will very probably need Store's Runic ability, 'cos his attacks are pretty much all magic-based. So your anti-Kefka group should have Store, Cocke, and some other strong fighter (or two, I guess, but I seldom go with more than three per group for this particular instance)--I like Thou or AHNULD, myself.

Your second group can be Bitch and either AHNULD or Thou, whichever you don't place in the main group; and You can go off with Eunuch. Hope I didn't miss any characters...

You can steal potions, hi-potions and possibly phoenix downs from the troopers. Slightly better things I think from the lieutenant guy on the badass horse but yeah, stealing from Kefka is fun and easy. Not that you like, need that peace ring for anything. I'd rather bring The Infamous General Store to fight Kefka, I think his magic can still hurt you. But what was that about spoilers? :O

I vote for AHNULD, Thou, You and anyone else in the main group and have the others stand around uselessly.

You might not need it, as such, but you get it for free and you can sell it for money. This appeals to my inner cheapskate, and I bet I'm not the only one. That's why I particularly like Cocke. Now, to see who's gonna quote this out of context...

I think leveling up to 40ish has already covered the need for getting more money.
