Rabbit's working for the sake of working and Tigger - who is wonderful - always tries to perk him up and get him to stop being such a grouch. But how does Rabbit repay him? By convincing the other animals to abandon him in a forest.

Despite being a stuffed animal, Pooh gets hungry for hunny. Even if Rabbit is stuffed, there's no reason to assume he doesn't similarly have every intention of eating those vegetables.

I always figured it had to do more with how realistic it was. Cartoon characters generally wear fewer articles of clothing as they get more stylized. Like Yogi Bear only wearing a hat and tie, or the Looney Toons animals going naked unless they were cross-dressing. Compare and contrast with, say, Thundercats.


As for who's stuffed and who's not, neither Rabbit nor Owl have stitches, where Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, Kanga, Roo, and Eeyore all do.
