nah, I assume the ish was things like armors less than +10 and using a Glove instead of an orlean's glove.

Odin's is always going to be inferior if you aren't using one of the sets.

Maybe all the stats haven't been tweaked out to just where they are wanted exactly.

I, of course, assume by build he meant stats and not gear.

Well better gear will slightly change his stats. Like if he gets an orlean's glove he can, presumably, drop one dex, keep 190 dex, and put those points somewhere else.

I see your point. I'm of the perspective that any real changes made to eq to impact stats would be marginal at best with his given setup. There are certainly points to squeeze and twist here and there, but then it still all comes down to the base numbers.
