Actually, the point is to break Krypto and leave him a terrible, hollow shell of misery and dispair.

Harsh... I wonder is she cuts him off for that XD Dr. Casey, where idd he say these things like he was touched by the fanresponse? I missed it... i'm not saying he didn't say it I'm just saying I missed it. I hold no hard feelings against Celvinger and to Christian, who has already left and everything, I thought it was a mean joke too, however, it was just a joke. He's continuing the series obviously and we'll get something out of this, I'm sure. Find the hilarity in 1071 and just enjoy it. |

It's not stated explicitly, but...

Not to mention that Clevinger would have to be some kind of monster not to be touched by that sort of thing, and that's clearly not the case. He's very much in-touch with his emotions. |

How can people enjoy it when this means that Warbot in accounting isn't starting already? And how can people find the hilarity if there's possiblity that some people write disgusting fanfiction about those cheerful fellows in the bed?
Well, first thing isn't that bad when we can still read 8-bit theatre, but the latter isn't nice at all. I'm so glad that I don't read fanfictions. You can't even understand how glad I'm because that glad I'm! |

You're a bit right, 90% of all fanfiction are crap. But if you hate the remaining 10%, there is something seriously wrong with your taste. I mean, think about it: Basically, 8-bit theater itself IS a fanfiction of Final Fantasy AND one of those 10%.

So I hate to say this now, because no one will believe me, but here goes:
I delayed sending Brian an email telling him how much I appreciated 8bit (and how much I hated the ending) on the grounds that I thought it was a joke. See, first, I hated that ending. I hate all endings that make the whole thing out to be a dream. But it wouldn't be something I'd put past Brian. Therefore, I almost bought that it was the real ending. But not quite. See, if you're going to do a shit ending like that, then the timing was all wrong. They weren't in the middle of anything; it was just a random time to end it that way. To properly do such an ending, there are only two ways to go: either develop the plot to the point of some extreme tension, like they're about to fight Chaos or they're fighting Chaos and everyone wants to know how they'll pull through, then end it with a dream, or else develop it to the point where they succeed through sheer awesomeness, but it turns out it didn't matter b/c it was a dream. I suspected that Brian would only do the shit ending at the appropriate time, if at all. In fact, the only reason I thought it might be the real ending at all is because of Brian's semi-recent run of real-world success in with Atomic Robo, a medium that actually pays him money, and perhaps he was feeling that he should really put all his effort towards that. I'm glad it was not the end though, partially because it was a shit ending at the wrong time, but also because if it IS a dream, it should clearly be BM's dream. And BM should be Ghandi - show that guy's dark side. |

Yeah... I love 8-bit... it's why I come here. I'm personally not into the whole Nuklear power or Warbot aspect of all this. Maybe when 8-Bit ends... but I'm a final fantasy nut. I don't care for robots and sci-fi all that much.
and thanks for clarifying Dr. Casey and yeah... i was pretty shocked by the fanresponse, far more people than i thought were 'ready' for an ending. |
