Edit: It's not even like you NEED them. Their gate is a stack of plywood you could knock over with a fork. I think maybe you wouldn't be able to take the shortcut to the vault (I don't remember) but that's a reasonable sacrifice for not putting up with so much ridiculous shit.

I spent my entire time at Little Lamplight killing everything I could, taking potshots at the kids, and stealing everything.

Then I sold one of them to a Slaver, and left some others already there enslaved, while laughing at them.

yea even being good alligned its hard to deal with those kids, I bet they are self aware, and know that you really are unable to do anything. Glad I had decent speach atleast so I could still threaten them here and there.

Let Megaton survive, help the ghouls take over tenpenny, and have both. To my knowledge there is nothing keeping you from doing that, and plus you get two robot buttlers

FYI, Fortunate Son is the perfect song to play while doing almost anything in this game. And while it does go very well with the "follow Liberty Prime as it demolishes all opposition" mission, the appropriate song for that scene is Libera Me From Hell.

Isn't it technically north by northwest to get to the scrapyard and/or Arefu from your current location?

[/nitpicking]

ne/e is in the direction of DC, after all, and Arefu is further west than the vault. (The scrapyard is essentially directly north of the vault.)

This is why I say specific locations over directions. In retrospect, it would have been cooler for peeps to only suggest directions. I haven't heard of half of the locations mentioned.
