okay you're all misinterpreting me, I'm saying that the very nature of piracy is'nt spectacular, it's just theivery, if we called all our robbers in the inner citty "banditos" it'd be the same thing, namely that everyone's ignoring the fact that these guys are just criminals to indulge in childish adventure fantasies. but whatever.

I'm saying that "woooo pirates are back!" is silly because they did'nt go anywhere, they just decided to start using boats again.

But we have special names for people who rip off insurance companies and stock exchanges as well.
They're called frauds, and they are just as much criminals as Jack the Knife who's off cuttin' people up with his blade, see?

Or doctors who aren't really doctors and who try to cure cancer with acupuncture or herbs. We call those quacks, and they are (arguably) criminal as well.

My point is, these guys are pirates, because they were called that way back in the 16th, 17th and 18th century. They were never gone, and I don't think any of us even said as much. (correct me if I'm wrong, please)
Pirates have also always used boats and small ships. They've just become more of a threat in the last couple of years.

NOW BACK TO SETTING UP A NPF PMC, getting that letter of marque from both the Dutch and the US' government, AND FINDING A NAME FOR THAT SHIP 'CAUSE LIKE HELL I'M GONNA SAIL ON THE USS OSTERBUM!

i'm just mad because now that real pirates are back, i've bee demoted back to just "thief" regarding my totally legit MP3 files...

Pirates were never gone. Just not that prevalent as they have been in the past few years.

EDIT: And on that note, I give you the point that somebody said that pirates are back again, Premonitions.
EDITED: Also, I swear to whatever god you believe in, if I get arrested for defiling the Dutch Navy, I'm dragging all you guys down with me. XD

The name is great, but maybe it should be The FS Osterbaum. FS for Finnish Ship. I have no idea if that's what the navy's ships actually say here.

The Pillar of Osterbaum is pretty great too.
