Has anyone on here heard about this upcoming action flic? It looks kinda meh to me. Plus the title feels like a lie to me. What do you guys think of it?

Looks like trash to me. Rollerball only with a snot-nosed kid playing the main character. I heavily disliked Rollerball, although I can understand the message it was trying to send and how it fit the times, but this is like that, without the message. I don't expect to see this.

This seemed like interesting premise to me. People who trade their lives for the entertainment of others. However it looks they are just going to turn it into an action flick and blow stuff up. I'll pass.

Are we talking original rollerball or remake rollerball?

Cause the original rollerball was mediocre but watchable but this looks like the remake- ie complete dogshit.

I mean there is an idea in there and it could make a good movie but this trailer was all focused on explosions and action which is not going to sell me as it appears to be just another shallow action film with a good premise that is not probably utilised.

I've only ever seen the original and disliked it because the the sledgehammer execution of the message and several events along the way. It wasn't a bad movie overall, but I don't take well to Big Brother in my films, either in the story itself or in pushing propaganda so blatantly. I suppose you could say I'm indirectly comparing this to the remake with the removal of what made the original at least have a point that I could respect.
