I vote that DFM go on a ten year journey to learn the art of time shifting so that he can go get his computer, but then realise at the last second that it was his actions in travelling through time that made the younger DFM forget to copy the files in the first place.

I vote that DFM raids a government warehouse and uncovers the Lost ark and opens it up at his enemies and then while they are being dissolved he steals their computers and attempts to play the game using those ones.

You could go into another LP and leave it as a cliffhanger to make people play the game.

I prefer the getting it off Steam and getting back to where you are option, but that's only if you want to spend the money and time getitng it back to where it was.

When I cheat, I tend to end up with bizarre and game-breaking bugs at a much later stage. Like, I mess with the character creation and halfway through the game all computer monitors are replaced with curtains. So, I'd advice against cheating unless you know something I don't.
So I vote for patching or, failing that, start over from the beginning. I never really liked the Ventrue anyway. :p
