If I may, let me first start by saying this is my thoughts and opinion on the matter, I am not saying I am right nor am I wrong. This is just what I gotten from my own little perspective of the matter. Now ith that said, let me state that sarda is literally a sage/demigod/god/deity/entity or w/e else you might want to call him. While even with the class change, bm is still a mage. The way I view it is Sarda = a military satellite carrying nukes basically, while bm is simple a atomic bomb. I think that it�s not that BM didn�t learn sarda�s spells but instead he doesn�t have the power to cast them. The thing is even as a blue mage, sarda spells are still on another level and sarda again is a godly deity who probably has a near endless supply of whatever energy used in the story to cast spells, while bm has only had a taste of the power sarda possess being the king of hell for like 5 minutes or so.

As far as class change go, I myaelf say bm would have made a better necromancer or summoner, it just seems to fit his style more.

Blue Magic sucks in 8 Bit because it's Black Mage using it and the universe exists to hurt him, plain and simple.

If it were a non incompetent character using it, then maybe it would be alright.

He can't learn Sarda's spells and even if he does, he won't use them because he knows they'll backfire and hurt him, that's why Black Mage threw up his entire disgestive system on Sarda's lawn, that's why Sarda called him a moron when he tried to rewrite reality and that's why Black Mage can't do anything right with Blue Magic, because it always backfires because the universe does what White Mage wants since she's God, she wants Black Mage to suffer for his misdeeds, so the universe makes it happen since WM wants that to happen.

The problem with this whole entire argument is the fact that black mage is a pathetic character. What I am seeing is people trying place blame on blue magic when the problem isn�t blue magic itself but instead, the character who is actually using it. Like look back at many stories, one of the most notable is naruto at the beginning, The problem with him wasn�t ninjutsu or better yet genjutsu sucked. The problem was simply he sucked at doing it so why blame the style?

Sure, you can imagine what blue magic might do, and think of it as the 8-bit universe (when writing a fan fiction), but the original content is quite clear.

Well, just 2 points: first, BM only tried to change Sarda's speech after learning that it was a Sarda spell efect. He didn't realized he had been hit by it at all until Sarda told him about it.

Second, we can add to BM blue magic list

Hurt/Summon Australia
Bloodsuck (from the previous light warriors turned in to bats)

I guess that if the nexus release is not a real class change, as some have proposed, then BM is the most effective member of the party right now. After all, he had since the beggining Hadouken. And i find it funny that if the universe who hates BM is destroyed, probably he will be better, if only because his life will not change from one of eternal torment, but everyone's else will.

Summoning Australia wasn't done to Black Mage, so it's safe to say that he did not learn it.
Bloodsuck, I'd say is just a regular attack for the bats.

Pretty sure we can only add to the blue magic list what we've seen Black Mage use. Also right now Black Mage is probably little more than a fat smelly man in a funny hat.
