On what Aizen said, to Japanese "God" is merely a powerful being. So from our standpoint all he is really saying is he wants to be a whole platue stronger then everyone else.

Not sure if having the top Espada being The Hulk is awesome or lame though

I just wonder is he insanely powerful because he was somehow insanely more powerful than a captain to begin with or because its a more perfected Hollification. You'd think they would have improved on it before testing it out. I still think Ichigo's natural evolution into a vizard will be revealed to make him like the ultimate perfect vizard or something like that. Also, Urahara will probably be revealed as having planed the whole thing as the fruits of his research into true Hollification that was only approximated by the Hōgyoku.

he's no more insanely powerful then anyone else with the mask. Remember Captain Pup is on the lower end of the spectrum. Vaizard masks are an incredible stat boost. Think of all the times we saw Ichigo use it. He would go from tough fight to curbstomp in an instant.

The problem is that Kamamura made a point to comment on how insanely powerful he was while being well aware of exactly what Vizard masks do. Apparently from both Ichigo, judging by his comments on the matter, and seeing the old Vizards fight. He should have a decent idea of what to expect especially since he was close to Tousen in the past. Also, he may be on the low end in terms of spirit pressure but for raw physical strength he's probably second only to Kenpachi. I mean its conceivable it still surprised him but it seems unlikely he would be that unprepared.

That and even Mashiro who is all about the kicking didn't have a kick nearly that powerful even cero enhanced. I'd assume even a lieutenant well versed in kicking should beat a captain that normally doesn't kick in a kicking contest. That goes double when you add in she was a lieutenant centuries ago and they apparently spent that time training to control their hollows and such.
