Fetched the Candy Cane!

Actually, History doesn't back you up because one of the reason's it's called the Dark Ages is there was little history recorded during that time in the regions the dark age actually effected. Considering the Byzantine Empire was still around, aka the Easter Roman Empire, The fall of the Western Roman Empire caused everyone to war with each other in that region for supremacy while east of that everything else trucked on fairly normal. The Dark Age's also saw the rise of the Arab Empire to the south of everything. Then by the 800 the west finally got it's act together and came back. So from 400-800 AD the only area really overly screwed during that time was Western Europe. The as everything started getting back into the grove of things the Holy Roman empire popped it's ass in the things by going fuck you I'm taking over middle europe bitches. It really wasn't overly that much more screwed then the times before it, just didn't have the crazy all power romans to boss everyone around.
