Honestly, the reason I'm dying for the epilogue of 8-Bit more than anything else I've ever read is probably the length of time I've been reading it.
I started reading 8-Bit back in 7th (or 8th?) grade when I was still too young to legally join most internet forums, and here I am, about 7 years later, watching something I've been following for so long come to an end. Even though 8-Bit is a webcomic, I still see it as one of the most entertaining narratives (and probably the longest) I've ever really seen. After following these characters and becoming emotionally invested in their asshole tendencies for so long, I'm just dying to get at least some sort of closure. Plus, 8-Bit was a huge inspiration for me to be creative back in the day. It (and other sprite comics) opened my eyes to the fact that comics and such could make people laugh, and I spent alot of my free time in those early teenage years drawing and writing to entertain my fellow classmates and anyone else who'd read. Back then 8-Bit was a huge source of entertainment and inspiration for a couple of my other friends as well. The fact that it's still going today just inspires me even more, especially since I have a terrible knack for not finishing projects. So like everyone else said in this thread, thanks a million for making me laugh and inspiring me for the last few years. Being a writer as well, the fact that you could keep this going for so long and get so many people to follow it and beg for an ending really gets to me. I hope the doors that are opening for you now lead you somewhere great. |
