Default Firefox is Acting up: Error 400

This is frying my brain, but i need some out-of-the-box solutions here.

All of the sudden, my Internet connection started to act up. I can perform downloads, i can check google searches.

I could not, however use Windows Update and most of the pages i try to access i get one of two results on the screen

Bad Request

Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.
Request header field is missing ':' separator.

<head>

Apache Server at www.avariel.net Port 80

or

Bad Request (Invalid Header Name)

it's driving me nuts. By typing Nuklearpower.com i managed to get to the main page of the site, but if i click the forum Button, i get error 400 again

I looked the best i could, did a through "flush" of my system, CCleaner, AVG, Spybot, Advanced System Care. No result.

Then i learned by one of the very few websites i could get to make work (a blog, also some parts of the firefox pages work) there seems to be some sort of Corrput language pack conflict on windows. I follow instructions and i do find a language pack corrupted, i remove it and nothing.

I flushed my cookies and entire web cache

I did so much that i'm not sure what made me possible to post this. Now i can navigate normaly via Internet Explore 8, but Firefox is still a no go. Next step is reinstal Firefox, but i have a feeling that's not going to work.

And still i can't make windows update to work.

Windows update is giving me the 80073701 the Update i'm trying to get is Windows 7 Service pack 1 KB976932 73,6mb download never got it past 20%

Any ideas?
