WHY ARE THEY MAKING A FOOTLOOSE REMAKE?

Alternate title coulda been "Why Is Hollywood So Focused On Making Remakes?" What possible reason could there be for this? Or that Alvin And The Chipmunks thing? Or... pretty much anything done in the last five years?

EDIT Not to mention, the beginning of the trailer marks it as The Peaceful Warrior remake.

Wait. If TPW came out after Footloose, but before the remake...
