The first time I saw Kyra Sedgwick on a talk show instead of The Closer I couldn't believe how different her voice was. I would never have recognized her just by hearing her. The way someone talks affects far more about how they sound than most people realize, and matters almost as much as the vocal chords they're using to do it. Lacking the vocal cues that would pretty much have to exist if we could really hear them speaking, I would say that using a different font is the way to go.
