Does anyone play D&D anymore?

Joined a PBP rpg site to help myself learn D&D/Pathfinder. (I felt bad about jumping into the one on NPF unannounced without any prior experience.) Made my very first character. Started my very first game.

Made my very first roll ever, on a perception check.

Critical fail.

Wow.

Clearly this means I'm getting rid of all the bad rolls now, so I'll have nothing but natural 20's for the rest of the game. Right?

....Riiiiight?
