On the possibilities of welcome: A Myriad of Yokes

My magnum opus is an epic: tragic tyrannized subsistence.

It takes Narcissistic enjoyment from my racked existence.

Perchance is it inured to work this way?

It makes me pay; waylaying my path at it’s every possibility.

I’m not well trained to deal with this eventuality,

They say: “Possibilities are Endless”
I say: “Only so as you can espy them, in blind sight.”

To carry a yoke of great girth, the inevitability-

Bereft of capability to remove it until toil is foiled,
Not by hands of ones own, but by help from afar,

But for now I trudge through this tar and the miserable thicket,

Pricking my hide and yelping, smelting my eyes in the noxious heat,
Waiting for something to see me and speak: “Welcome, welcome”
To say: “Where have you been, come in, come in!”

-So, it took more than 5 minutes....thoughts?

EDIT NOTE: Every line that isn't the first line in a stanza should be indented but I am not sure how this can be achieved on ye olde blasted forum.
