Different side, what if he's the cult master, or a member of the cult? He doesn't have to be the SK to want people to just randomly die. All the cultists want is for their own to survive, which in this case numbers as one person. He could be just as blood thirsty now as he would be later. In fact, he could show 'improvement' later on when the cultists number enough that he wants to keep many people alive.

We know that TWIDDI was a cult member, this means that Mestizio is likely not a member of the cult.

Or the Cult leader, and is trying to use a tactic pretty much exactly like the tactic used last game, by getting a (now-known) cultist to debate with her, claiming a (now-known) townie is the cult leader. Hmm...
