Quick question

Okay, so let's say you're in a room with a howler monkey, a spider monkey, a squirrel monkeys, a table, and three different items.

A pencil
A hammer
an orange

The howler monkey takes the orange and starts beating it against the floor.
The squirrel monkey takes the pencil and starts chewing on it.
The Spider monkey takes the hammer and puts it on his head.

Now, who is the smartest simian in the room?
