By the same argument, Fifth, it can be said that AJ isn't saying that a person who says they do not like the south because there are racists there is themselves narrow-minded, but that the idea itself is myopic while the person having it is perfectly wonderful. It's called disagreeing with someone's statement.
And to support her point, I myself grew up in the South (though not as far down as Louisiana) and I can safely say that the most disgusting display of systemic racism I've ever personally encountered in a community would have to have been in California. As for this crazy crap in Jena, what the fuck, man? Honestly, even if the Governor doesn't step in, there has to be enough outrage and support for the kids charged here to finance a solid appeal at the federal level. What this situation calls for is an unquestioned legal precedent to be upheld, toute suite.
