The reason why children gravitate to something like 'Halo,' 'Halo 3' or 'World of Warcraft' or 'Team Fortress' isn't necessarily because they want to get at the blood or the acts of violence,

I find it hilarious that of those 4 games only one of them has a respectable amount of gore in it, and it's played for laughs. Also, one of those games has NO blood WHATSOEVER. WoW is popular for a different reason.

In that study, though, I bet they'd have found different results if they had all participants play BOTH games. People tend to be much better at comparing things than using generic scales for "enjoyment."
