About two years ago, I was cutting a bagel with a big huge bread knife, the kind with the big serrated edges. I remember thinking to myself that people always said not to cut through something with the blade aimed at your hand. But since I'm a genius, I realized that nothing could go wrong because the bagel was too thick for the knife to cut through without more effort than I was putting in.

Three seconds later the blade was halfway through my pinky finger. I still have a scar.
The sad part is that I learned nothing from the experience.

Oh! And last week I decided to unplug my PS2 using only one hand. The cord got stuck on something, so I adjusted my grip closer to the prongs. I ended up actually grabbing the metal part, which was still plugged in to the wall.

My next thought was something along the lines of "Woah, why'd my hand just go numb HOLY SHIT ELECTRICITY IS PAIN!!!"
