It looks pretty neat, judging by the trailer. Bay's taking a few artistic liberties in order to justify having 90% of his budget devoted to special effects. It could be good. Then again, it could be terrible - no one could replace Robert Englund.

Freddy's an interesting villain; when he scares people in theaters, their first instinct is that sleeping will make the horror go away. But not for Freddy!
