@ Dracorian: Everytime I type up your name, I accidentally place a D between the R and I. Weird.
Anyways, Ye Olde Boss Monsters have Ye Olde Resistances that normal foes wouldn't...within reason. Instant Kill attacks won't instant kill, Super Fang won't split HP, yadda-yadda-yadda. However, because that would discourage you, the wonderful players, from putting moves like those on your Pokemon, the moves won't be rendered totally useless. There're still effects from using those kinds of moves, but they're pretty poor in comparison to what they usually do so it's not much of a consolation, but it is consolation. Absorbers will actually take quite a bit of punishment before being destroyed. They have a great amount of hit points with no type weaknesses. However, when you actually get to fight the Ruin General, you'll be to target Absorbers directly. ----- @ Geminex: I sort of want to control item spam. What I'm leaning towards is taking away item use from NPCs that aren't medical specialists like Rachel, Lola and Dormond. Otherwise you guys could have half the team use items to restore all the work the enemy did the previous phase and then it's just a slow progression towards certain victory. I want you guys to die, damn it! And I'm willing to even go as far as creating fake difficulty to do it! Besides, Rayleen has five Pokemon in all and herself. At the pace these battles are going, she's probably going to end up still healthy and still with around two healthy Pokemon, no item use factored in. It kind of negates all that fear I'm trying to put into y'all. And there will be two separate battles...sorta. There won't be any healing up, but stuff like Signature Techniques and Paradigm Shifts will be fully recharged. Kind of a second wind thing. ----- @ Geminex and Dracorian: Of course you can lock down and disable those satellites. And as a special bonus, it'll prevent Lexhur from using long-range attacks. It won't stop Lexhur's melee attacks, unfortunately. Lexhur just packs far too much raw power to be stopped by a magnetic field. ----- @ Menarker: Unfortunately, when a Pokebrid is knocked out of their Paradigm Shift, like from being killed or for when an Overwhelming Tide is inflicted, they can't just pop back into it. If you want to blame someone, blame those damn enemy Pokemon. ----- @ Dracorian: Damnit, I typed the D in there again! *sigh* Someone stop me before that becomes an in-joke to piss off Bard. Anyways, Absorbers kind of turn on and off when they want to absorb, so Lexhur won't be affected by his own Absorbers. Destroying an Absorber will only be somewhat easier once it's grounded. Like, you can hit it with Earthquake now. ----- @ BardTheFifthLightWarrior: The uhhh...orange makes your eyes dance? I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to say. ----- @ Dracorian: Gawd, that fucking D key, I'm gonna stab it! Ahem, I think you're right. I'll do a little edit and now Buck has only taken severe damage. ----- @ Menarker: True, there's really no way a sleeping, paralyzed, or frozen target should be able to avoid low accuracy blows. Well, maybe against a paralyzed target, the accuracy would just be greater instead of a sure hit. |
