Oh, thought up a good limit on the shadow teleport thing! For starters, using the question of whether of "What would happen if Task was going into a shadow...when someone shines a light on it?"
Either A: Task finds himself uncomfortably stuck in a wall, floor, ceiling.
B: Task finds himself missing whatever was in the shadow,
or C: Task takes serious damage (hurt) and uses up alot of energy pulling himself out of whatever he's phased into, directly in proportion to how much of himself was in the shadow.

I like C, but as you can see, Task is foiled by flashlights, lightning, and people flicking light switches!

Secondly, there is certain level of darkness of the shadow required for Task to enter into the shadows, and it has to be big enough for his whole body to enter. If like the light shadows between two light sources, he can't enter.

Thirdly, as mentioned in the character sheet, when traveling through the shadows, there has to be a solid connection of shadow between A and B. If Duncan were in a courtyard casting a big enough shadow for Task to enter it in the day time, unless Duncan's shadow intersects another shadow (no matter how small or thin it is) Task can't go anywhere, aside from hiding in Duncan's shadow.

Task also travels through shadow only just as fast as he can normally move, he's just not limited by obstacles, and can take shortcuts not obvious to those walking in the light.

So...Task can seemingly go anywhere once it's night time, and in the daytime he's pretty useless. Most of his demon powers also require a certain level of darkness to get his demonic juices flowing. That's why he has extreme-parkour and two handy blades in the daytime to solve his problems.

Think of it as being how the Dark Prince in Prince of Persia Two Thrones should have been, instead of being some emo-troll with a chain.
