Fire type starters are essentially the 'easy' button in FireRed/LeafGreen, Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, and HeartGold/SoulSilver. I don't burn Diamond/Pearl/Platinum to the ground. I use Empoleon there. Which for some reason is ALSO the 'easy' button.

Also you can NEVER HAVE TOO MUCH FIRE.
